An absolutely brilliant week sailing in the beautiful Whitsunday Islands.
The yacht was well maintained and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.
We were delighted with the standard of items available on board for our use during
the charter period.
We took a gamble chartering for a week in the "Low" season, but it paid off handsomely
with only a 10 minute squall to contend with, otherwise it was a week full of fresh
breezes and clear skies - we will most certainly be back !!

The boat was great and the CYA staff (we dealt with Lisa, Brandan & Paddy) were just fantastic. I really cannot describe how moving and terrific it was. Thank you so much. We were 3 Canadians, a Kiwi & 3 Aussies (my son is a dually).

We planned this trip for quite a long time, and we glad we did not postponed it again.
Out of 8 people we left with 3 members of my family, so we went just 3 of us with no experience in yachting.
This trip was unforgettable, thanks to all members of CYA and specially to Peter our instructor, whom we took for full day to learn how to sail.
We did round trip Hook is, Whitsunday and Hamilton Islands, weather was perfect with little rain overnight. The boat was in good conditions and with excellent handling and right size for one family. we would love to come back to Whitsunday Island and visit our favourite spots.

We had another wonderful week with our 2 grown up sons & 1 girlfriend on the Lightwave 38 'Mischief' in early August. This was our 3rd Charter with Charter Yachts Australia & would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to a bareboat charter around the Whitsundays. The Lightwave catamaran is so easy to sail & very comfortable to live on & the provisioning was excellent as usual. We will be back again to experience the tranquility of the Whitsundays. Thanks to all the staff at CYA for making our trips so memorable.

We have just experienced the best holiday of our lifetime on the good ship \"Reflections\". Everything was perfect from the minute we arrived with all the fantastic crew at Charter Yachts Australia making us feel entirely welcome. Thanks to Wendy for a wonderful brief which certainly made us girls feel at ease with everything our husbands had to do. Saw it all - whales, turtles, a dugong in Turle Bay and fish galore. Needless to say the weather Gods were with us with temperate balmy days, glorious sunsets surrounded by good friends in one of the most spectacular places on earth. We will be back and sure to tell all, that days with Charter Yachts Australia just keep getting better. I have told all of our friends down here in Port Lincoln that they need to get lives and have a real holiday away from the cold..so stand by for their calls.

After two years we arrived back in Airlie Beach for another adventure.Crew this time daughter ,son inlaw and two grand children 14 and 12 years old.We had waited till the girls were old enough to appreciate the experience. That they did. They swam with turtles, millions of fish small and large, coral both soft and hard. Some of the sponge coral in Tounge Bay is as good as it gets. At Blue Pearl Bay off Hayman Island ("Oscar"big rass fish) constantly swam in front of the kids waiting to be photographed Another first this trip , sitting quietly enjoying a glass of wine watching the sun set after another day in paradise right beside the boat a dugong surfaced and just swam silently by. ( if a dugong surfacing and exhaling in preparation for the next breath can be reguarded as quiet..
Viv and I have chartered in the Whitsundays for the past 10 years always bringing new people to enjoy our experience, and never have any gone away disappointed. Annie and John (Charter Yachts Aust owners) have become great friends over the years and have assembled a fabulous team of experienced and caring people you should call CHARTER YACHTS AUSTRALIA staff but they are more like special people dedicated to ensuring anyone that comes to the Whitsundays takes part in a great experience & takes away unforgetable memories. The teams attention to detail is evedient in all that you see. The boats are maintained spot on , When you return you are asked if their was any problem with the boat or the gear.If there was I,ll bet it is fixed the next day .To Annie, John and all the great people at Charter Yachts Australia thank you for another unforgetable experience sailing in the greatest play ground in Australia. ( Some say there IS better but this is AUSTRALIA . Its ours so why not enjoy it. See ya out there sometime. COL VIV.

Yacht Chartered : Reflections
Reflections is an awesome yacht. Very comfortable and a breeze to sail. My wife and friends have been travelling with Charter Yacht Australia four years in a row, again it was fantastic.
Regardless of a couple of days 40knot winds the weather turned on some glorious days of sun shine, however the weather, it�s a trip of a life time. Rain does NOT ruin the experience.
We managed to catch a 8kg queen fish, ocean trout and many more fabulous dinners. Close friends even found time to get engaged, a very memorable trip.
Each year is always different and each year we leave wanting to stay.
This year we managed a 11 day and nights on the water and will be back next year to do it all again. Thanks CYA.

From booking to the debrief the crew at Charter Yachts Australia were fantastic.
The boat looked better than It did in the pictures , Wendy was awesome at insuring we were fully equipt both physically and mentally for stress free week. from dice in the chess set to the oyster shucker in the top drawer it seemed you'd thought of everything. We loved our boat and had thoughts of taking her from you forever and sailing to Tonga. Your suggestion for New years was fantastic. and we felt safe under your supervision but very much on our own adventure. It was truely an amazing experience. We had some different personalities types on the boat but all have rated it the best holiday ever, thanks for my beer cooler we will definitely be back.
You guys rock!

What a fantastic experience through a great company on a superb sailing catamaran! I cannot recommend this enough to anyone toying with the idea, even if all your crew are inexperienced landlubbers!
The yacht yaminda was laid out so in such a clever way that she could be very easily sailed single handedly including reefing the main, jibing and even anchoring. The actual layout of the cat meant that we had a usable aft deck of more than 150sq feet which was great for the kids, wonderful for cocktail hour and overcame the normal problem with yachts of tripping over each other in limited space. I was really impressed!
In terms of the Charter Yachts Australia as a company to deal with, I have had a very positive experience and can say that they genuinely make every possible effort to provide the best service they can and in this regard they are way above their european competitors in the med. Well done guys!
If you are reading this and are based in the UK, I would be happy to chat with you on the phone about our experience and the very few extra things that in hindsight we would do differently. In a nutshell, my advice will be to go ahead and book as your family will absolutely love this!

We had an absolute ball on Reflections(Lightwave 45), I have done a lot of sailing and this was my third time chartering a sailing cat in the Whitsundays is a very well appointed boat and well set up for charter I don't think I have seen that much Fridge/Freezer space on another boat ample for 8 peoples grog and food.
Sailing Reflections is a pleasure, it handles very well and is easy to set sail even with a inexperienced crew (I had two Gilligan's)
We had a theme night aboard the theme was Gilligan's island it was a lot of fun I have attached some photos and some whale photos taken on one of the encounters we had with Whales.

Hi All at Charter Yachts Australia,
I know it has taken some time to send you a testimonial but better late than never!
In May this year we had a wonderful 7 days aboard the 'Orsum', your beautiful 44 foot power catamaran. The 'Orsum' was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It exceeded our expectations. Even with six people on board, there was still plenty of room to slip away for some quiet reading. The weather was perfect and very welcomed coming up from the iciness of Canberra.
The start to our adventure, the tutorial, was fun. We were given loads of information and felt well prepared especially with the continued support available from your staff throughout the holiday.
At first I thought this type of vacation would be too laid back with not enough variety of things to do. How wrong I was. Everyday was a new adventure with planing our course for the day, fishing, snorkling and treking. We didn't even go near the resort islands as we had plenty of activities to do.
The week was full of magical memories of the stunning whitehaven beach, turtles, dolphins and colourful sea life.
Being back in reality has caused me to daydream regularly about the tropical paradise of the Whitsunday Islands. I would not hesitate to recommend a Charter Yachts Australia cruise to anyone and look forward to our next adventure with you.

In May this year we had a wonderful 7 days aboard the 'Orsum', your beautiful 44 foot power catamaran. The 'Orsum' was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It exceeded our expectations. Even with six people on board, there was still plenty of room to slip away for some quiet reading. The weather was perfect and very welcomed coming up from the iciness of Canberra.

We had the pleasure of joining Arjan from BVI Yacht Charters on a week cruise in the Whitsundays on the new 44 Lightwave, a fantastic catamaran. Having sailed often in the BVIs, the Whitsundays seemed right at home. Islands were close enough that you could enjoy a different one each day or return to one you previously enjoyed. What breathtaking scenery above and below the water.
The Coral and sea life were amazing.
Each island had its own unique ambience whether it be hiking, snorkeling or perusing the shops in the resorts like Hamilton Island where we had a wallaby come sit beside us on the beach. We thank John and Annie for a great time. Everything from chartering to provisioning was simple.
