Whitsunday Island Resorts

In addition to the many smaller uninhabited islands that make up The Whitsundays, there are also larger Island Resorts that cater for all tastes and lifestyles — from family-friendly and adventure travel to five star luxury health spa. With the freedom to chart your own course, you can explore any or all of these stunning resorts.

Each Resort has differing facilities and planning ahead is well advised. Seasonal demand may influence the availability of anchorage options, berths, accommodation and other ammenities. We’ve summarised the main resort islands below for your convenience. Kindly ask our helpful staff if we can be of further assistance.

Hamilton Island Resort

Offering all the amenities of a small town, this village style resort is a great mid-charter stop over to stretch the legs, reprovision and take advantage of their world class dining, golfing and spa facilities.

  • Overnight berth (11am – 11am): $220 (catamaran) or $165 (monohull) overnight stay
  • Day Visit Monohull – $32 per hour
  • Day Visit Catamaran – $37 per hour

Fees are to be paid directly to Hamilton Island Marina office. Anchoring is not permitted.

Palm Bay Resort – Long Island

Palm Bay Resort is a boutique resort nestled in the neck of Long Island. With their own secluded private cove, the resort offers complete tranquillity and seclusion, guest kitchen and access to nature walks, kayaks and pool.

  • $350 marina fee.
  • $100 per adult minimum spend – off-peak & $250 per adult minimum spend – peak (spa appointments, shopping or dining)
  • Access to resort and all facilities from 10am – 4pm.
  • Must depart marina by 4:30pm.

Daydream Island Resort

Daydream Island Resort and Spa is one of the closest resorts to the mainland, an easy sail from Charter Yachts Australia’s base, or from Hamilton Island. The resort is geared towards families, with attractions and activities to keep the whole family entertained!

There is one public mooring at Sun Lovers Beach which may be used, subject to availability and weather conditions. There is no anchoring at Daydream Island

Bookings are essential as moorings are limited (max 4 available) for vessels up to 11m. To pre book please call the number below.

Daydream Island is only suitable to moor in light conditions. Please seek the advice of Charter Yachts Australia before choosing to moor here.
